Above is a new logo that I made (which is basically a revamp of the old one).
It originally was much more complex (see below) but my friend Adrian suggested I simplify it to the most interesting part (the head). I will still be utilizing the more complex version in a patch, shirt design, or business card in the near future I'm sure.
I have updated my site with the new logo, and besides that there is a new and improved comic section that allows you to flip through panels of "Still Here" without leaving the site, so give them a read here (a new "Still Here" to come soon I promise).
Although there are still some design and functionality issues I need to iron out, there are other updates to the site as well.

tracks on tracks
Above is a shirt design I did for, my friend JK's (Green Couch Sessions) new project Tracks on Tracks. Tracks on Tracks takes 10 acts on the VIA Rails, from Vancouver to Toronto. They perform on and off the train, along with some secret shows as well. Check out more information and follow the adventure here, and see how you can get involved or donate as well.
The shirts are still being printed currently, but should look something like this:

may freq
In this May's issue of Freq Magazine I interviewed Caleb Neelon who created the album artwork for Abandoned Lullaby, a release from Icebird (RJD2 and Aaron Livingston). You can read that here.
I also reviewed the THEEsatisfaction album, awE naturalE. I'm not sure if that's online but it's definitely in the print issue so you can go pick up one off news stands and check it out. Listen to a THEEsatisfaction track below:

waves show
My art is currently on display at Waves Coffee House on 6th street and 17th ave. This is my first solo show! You may have seen a lot of the work already if you follow the blog, but there is some new stuff as well that you can go check out over the course of May and June.
The official reception is on June 8th from 7:30- 12:00 (I'm sure I will post a reminder closer to the date).
There will be some prints for sale and original pieces. My friends String Bridges and Bonnaventure James will be playing some tunes, so it should be an awesome night with good music, good people, and maybe some good art as well ;)
If you're on the facebook the event page can be seen here.
Big thanks to 6th street Waves Coffee House!

The Arkells music video, Michigan Left, which I created all the animation for was just nominated for a Much Music Video Award!
It is under the category "MuchLoud Rock Video Of The Year", the director is my talented friend John Poliquin. You may remember the other video I worked on with him, Mother Mother's "The Stand" was nominated for Juno earlier in the year.
You can check out the other MMVA nominations here.

jack white
I created this Jack White illustration for BeatRoute Alberta and B.C. to accompany the lead album review of May, Jack White's Blunderbuss. Above is the final illo and the preliminary drawing which was approved respectively.
I thought Blunderbuss was pretty good, but find out what Sebastian Buzzalino has to say about the record in the review here.
Listen to the lead single off Blunderbuss below, and check out the accompanying visuals, which is really gnarly and definitely worth the watch:

green thumbs for lazy bones
Here is a FFWD illustration I made for an article about gardening for the lazy by Tanya Hagen. Some really great tips to get your garden going during the summer, without ruining your reputation of sitting on the couch all day! Read the full article here.
